Tape Transfer
Need to transfer your original video tape(s) onto another or the same video format?
A table has been created so you can work out your total transfer costs. Simply choose your original format and the format you wish to transfer to, add these together to get your hourly transfer fee. You then need to add the cost of the transfer tape on top, customers can supply their own media, by sending or dropping it off with their original transfer tapes.

Only one Original Format per transfer with a minimum transfer charge of 60mins, anytime running over the hour will be charged by the minute. If the total length of transfer is unknown, we can invoice you for the transfer costs afterwards. Payment will have to be sent and cleared before return/collection is authorised. To work out your own costing, please see the “example” below.
EXAMPLE
Original Format Hi8 £15 to Transfer Format Mini DV £20 = Transfer hourly fee = £35
Transfer hourly fee £35 ÷ 60 = £0.583 per minute
The Length of the example transfer in minutes is 90 x 0.583 = Sub Total Transfer Fee £52.47
Don’t forget to add the cost of the Transfer Media
A 90 minute transfer will require 2 x 60 minutes Mini DV tapes costing £3 each.
2 x 3 = £6
Sub Total Transfer Fee £52.47 + Transfer tapes £6 = Total Transfer Fee £58.47

Please enclose a cheque/postal order for the correct amount made payable to A JEM Production. Don't forget to include your completed order form along with your original tape(s).
Turn around time for this service is 10 -14 working days dependant on time of year, but it is advisable to check with us first if you need your transfer in a hurry.
Your DVD player must be compatible with the DVD format bearing the ‘DVD-R’ logo on the front of your player or in the instruction manual. If it doesn’t, we cannot guarantee smooth uninterrupted playback of the DVD we produce. A sample DVD can be purchased at a cost of £5, which will be refundable if you proceed with any of our services.
