Workshops / Training
A JEM Production provides fun and informative learning in all stages of video production, which can be adapted for all ages and abilities. Sessions can be run at your establishment using your own equipment, meaning the training will be more relevant for your long term usage, or we can provide the equipment ourselves.
We have extensive experience working with schools and community groups. We can provide this service either over a few hour sessions, or on a termly basis. This can be integrated into a media teaching plan or run as an extra curricular activity out of school hours.
We have broken down our workshop plan into different sections, so that the participant learns everything from idea conception and shot composition, to editing techniques, through practical hands on experience.
A workshop / training session will include some or all of the following;
· Getting to know the video equipment
· Introduction to shot composition, camera angles and movement
· Hands on session shooting sequences
· Gain understanding of shot transitions and editing techniques
· Development of project ideas and scripting
· Introduction to storyboarding sequences
· Appreciation of sound recording, music and sound FX
· Shooting projects
· Assistance with editing and presentation of projects
The workshop / training sessions promotes self-confidence, team building and communication skills which will really inspire the participants to explore their creative side.
We are one of the few companies who are able to offer our clients the added assurance of security – both owners of the company hold a registered Disclosure Certificate (CRB) empowering us to film / work with children without any fear of criminal intent.
The examples below are video interpretations of paintings included in the “Work, Rest and Play” exhibition at the Bristol museum. They were entirely created from the ideas of the participants. These examples were the result of an 8 week teaching plan.
